The Broken Hipsters is a rock opera about geriatric punks, a young photographer and their fight to free some giant babies.
The show, co-written by Marc and Jay Sand, played to packed houses in Philadelphia's Mask and Wig Theater, New York City's Producers' Club, and the Philadelphia Fringe Festival.
The Broken Hipsters tells the story of Liza Abbott, a struggling young photographer trying to find herself after her mother's death. She discovers her life's purpose when she meets the Broken Hipsters, a band of punk rock grandmothers. Together, they foil the world-dominating scheme of an evil orthopedic shoe salesman who enslaves giant babies.
The Broken Hipsters features 23 original songs and can be performed with a cast of 15 and a 3-piece band.
Production companies around the country are currently considering future productions of the Broken Hipsters. Would you like to be involved? Please visit our contact page.
*Please note: Many lyrics are not appropriate for children, and probably not for most adults either.

A little guerrilla and a lot of monkey business....The lyrics are a hoot.
A rrriotous, sellout success.
